Pest insects are those insects that are detrimental to humans in one way or the other.
Diseases: Flies and cockroaches carry and transmit a range of serious diseases, such as salmonella, typhoid, cholera and gastroenteritis. Mosquitoes transmit dengue, malaria and chikungunya. The risk is particularly high in homes with children, the elderly or those fighting illnesses. Cockroach droppings also cause eczema and asthma.
Distress: Exposure to bed bugs, fleas and other biting or stinging insects often leads to fear and anxiety
Contamination:Pests often contaminate our food. The disposal of such contaminated foodstuffs is unavoidable.
Damage : Moths will damage fabrics and garments; so do cockroaches at times.
